How does Gankpo work?
Gankpo transforms any type of digital file (image, video, audio, office document, PDF, archive, etc.) into a certified electronic original in .gkp format. The goal is simple: to prove that a given file is authentic, at a given date, and that it has not been modified – even without an Internet connection.
1. Select the file
You start by selecting a file on your workstation: contract, judgment, photo, video, report, audio recording, archive, etc. Gankpo accepts virtually all common formats.
2. Create the original (.gkp)
Gankpo calculates the cryptographic fingerprint of the file, seals it in a secure container, adds useful metadata (date, author, context), and generates a .gkp file. This file becomes the reference electronic original.
3. Protect and share
The .gkp file can be stored, archived, or shared with your partners (administrations, clients, courts, banks, etc.). Sealing and timestamping guarantee that any subsequent modification will be immediately detectable during verification.
4. Verify authenticity
The recipient opens the .gkp file with Gankpo Reader, views the original file, and launches the verification. In a few seconds, Gankpo indicates if the file is compliant with the original, if it has been modified, and on what date it was created. This operation can be done offline.
